Slice of Petrified Wood

The sectional slice displays a breathtaking array of saturated colours, beautiful rust tones around a concentric design reflecting the growth rings of the original triassic tree. The top surface of this slab has been worked to a high, permanent polish. The overall result is like gazing at some distant gaseous galaxy.
